We analyzed hundreds of U.S. Cities to identify the hidden innovation hubs where the most innovative companies are located.
Some of the results include:
- Cambridge, MA – #3
- Boca Raton, FL – #50
- Alpharetta, GA – #89. (Motto: “Technology City of the South”) grew from a farm town of 3,000 to 65,000 residents over the last 25 years because the city was linked to Atlanta by a new highway as well as a high capacity fiber-optic network that attracted tech companies.
- Seattle, WA – #188
Cambridge (where we started) has the energy of a startup hub. In addition to the top universities located there, one can hardly walk without seeing the biotech companies, inventors, and tech entrepreneurs. Seattle has a similar feel, but only in small parts of the city. Boca Raton or Alpharetta? I’ve never been.
